The following is a local gathering that may be of interest to you:

Cornerstone Baptist Church in Morton, IL will holding a kick-off for their Orphan Care Ministry.

Date: Saturday, April 9, 2011

Time: 6:00 pm (it will last approximately 2 1/2 hours)

This event will feature speaker Kelly Putty from Ordinary Hero. Also Jami Kaeb will speak.

Gobena Coffee and a LifeSong booth will be available.

The goal of this conference is to promote orphan care and caring for the widow. Kelly will primarily be speaking on Ethiopia. The topic of community involvement in caring for the widow will also be addressed.
